E-KTP OCR Verification System Preview.

Putting together a quick product preview of the app I built for my undergraduate thesis, since there wasn't a live demo app available 😁 Here's how the identity card verification pipeline works: A Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) classifies whether the image is an Indonesian E-KTP (ID card vs. non-ID card) -> Tesseract OCR extracts text from the card image (optimized for national ID number/NIK, name, and gender) -> The system checks the extracted data against the database records for verification and validation. Implementing OCR on physical ID cards was quite a challenge, especially for complex layout fields like the address. If anyone has tackled similar OCR challenges, I'd love to hear your experiences!
